AMD is the collaboration of the two solo artists Aphid Moon and Dickster (aka Jules Hamer and Dick Trevor). Jules Hamer has been involved in the psytrance since the mid-nineties in the early days he worked as a promoter of his night Aphid Moon after a successful run of 12 parties he decided to concentrate his energies on producing and DJing. Aphid Moon became his solo project. With couple releases before the millennium he continued with a successive string of releases on virtually all the British psy-trance labels as well a few notable foreign labels. He has released two Aphid Moon albums so far “High Diver” on Dragonfly Records. In 2002 and his second album a more full-on groover “Global Culture” on Nano Records in 2005. Since the millennium he has been touring his music playing DJ and live sets throughout the globe. Dick Trevor has developed his incredibly fat production today by being at the cutting edge from the early nineties with his first trance hits with the legendary Green Nuns of the Revolution who dominated the full-on scene in the mid nineties. He has since been constantly productive with projects like the Green Ohms album at the turn of the millennium and more recently Jumanji (with Eskimo) and his own solo project Dickster as well as countless classic collaborations with the likes of Simon Posford, Tristan, Lucas, and house remixes with the likes of Danny Howells. Although being fans of each others music it wasn’t until a tour round Brazil culminating in Green Ohms and Aphid Moon sets at Universal Parallelo in Alto Paradiso in 2002 New Years party that they decided they should collaborate. With their complementary skills and a similar love of full-on music together they make a formidable force taking British full-on psy-trance to a new exciting place. With only six releases under their belt they are already making waves with tracks like Quantum Accelerator, All We Have, Dont Look in There, Big Dipper, and Roll the Dice (remix), already on there way to becoming cult classics. This year started with a bang launching their new material on the main stage at Universo Paralello in Brazil. Since then they have continued to rock dance floors in Japan, Europe, and the U.K. They’re first album, “Big Fish,” was released on Nano Records earlier this year. Get ready all you lovers of dance!

DICKSTER / DICK TREVOR

Dick Trevor started making music while at college doing sound engineering. He and Matt Coldrick teamed up and had a go at making a trance track which TIP bought straight away, from then on they became the Green Nuns of the Revolution. They made tracks for most of the English labels then and various compilations, releasing only one album on Flying Rhino. After a couple of years making music together, they teamed up with keyboard player Neil Cowley who was then playing with the Brand New Heavies, and he started to put more funk into the music. They did many gigs around the world with live guitar and keyboards and sometimes an extra percussionist, going for the rock n roll performance. They even did a video for MTV which can be seen in the video section here (it was a while ago!!!). The Nuns went their separate ways in ’98, and Dick started to produce music with many different people. Within the Flying Rhino stable the Bumbling Loons was formed with James Monro and Slinky Nuns/Seeka with George Barker. On Twisted Records Dick did collaborations with Simon Posford as Infernal Machine, and with Tristan as Trickster. He also did a Western Rebel Alliance remix with Jules Evans (producer/fisherman) for the Shpongle remix album. On Phantasm there were collaborations with Chris Boing as the Bisto Boys and John Ford as Mindfield/Bisto Boys and then more recently with John's son Junya (Eskimo) as Jumanji of which an album is coming later this year on Nano. Dick also teamed up with Jon Om who used to run Aquatec Records and formed Green Oms, they released an album on Dragonfly a couple of years ago. He has also joined forces with Jules Hamer from Aphid Moon and come up with AMD, which has had releases on Alchemy and Nano, and they are completing an album for Nano at the moment. Away from the trance scene, Dick teamed up with Danny Howells and started Science Dept having successful releases on John Digweed’s label Bedrock (Repercussion, Persuasion) and then on Renaissance Records (Breathe) which got into the UK top 60. They have also released Kinkyfunk on Deep Dish's label Yoshitoshi in the US, which was a big hit on the progressive scene. Then after that they followed it up with Dusk til Dawn which was a big hit in Ibiza in 2004 and even made it into the UK top 40 on C2 Records. Since then, they did a remix for Destiny's Child for their single Soldier and even more recently just finished a remix for Madonna. Through Danny's connections, Dick got together with native Australian Andy Morris (Narcotic Thrust) and finished their first track under the name Phat Static. Andy is quite an up and coming DJ over here and has had a show on London's Kiss FM. They have also recently done a remix for Offir Nassim on Star69 Records from the US. Back on the trance scene, Dick has released a few of tracks on his own as Dickster on Twisted, Phantasm, and TIP and has also got together with Anna Hefetz , a DJ/producer from Israel - their first release was a remix of Mumbo Jumbo on Transient Records under the name Annarchy Rhythm vs. Dickster. Dick and Anna (Annarchy) have also released on Nano Records and Liquid & Solid Records from Serbia and also another new project of theirs is with George Barker (Flying Rhino, Slinky Wizard) which is more progressive trance, with their first release Eargate on Iboga Records' Hibernation compilation, along with a collaboration of Dick with James Monro. There have also been other collaborations with Cosmosis, Pogo (Wingmakers), and Lucas (TIP). In between producing music, Dick has managed to get going on the DJ scene playing all around the globe since ’98, but his main love is actually writing the music and there is plenty more to come!

Aphid Moon is the solo act of producer and DJ Jules Hamer. He has released two albums so far. The first called “High Diver” on Dragonfly Records in 2003; a deep night time sound with a distinctly British psy-trance flavor. His second album, “Global Culture,” was released May 2005 on Nano Records has really moved with the times and technology with fatter more full-on production and an infectious dance sound. With the help of the insane software revolution, he has steadily been developing his own unique style. Over the last decade Aphid Moon has released on countless psy-trance labels and played DJ and live sets in Japan, Israel, South Africa, Brazil, Europe, and the U.K parties and festivals. In the past two years he has teamed up with trance legend Dick Trevor (Green Nuns, Dickster, and Jumanji); together they have formed Aphid Moon & Dickster (aka AMD) a formidable trance duo. With a number of killer releases so far, they've recently completeded their first album, “Big Fish,” out now on Nano Records.

After almost two years of silence Human blue is now back with a new, strong album for the dance floor. The album is called misStArRyA’s Xperience and the label that took care of the release is the well known, UK label Transient Records. According to many listeners and fans of Human blue, the new album is a really nice and well produced progressive album where Dag combines his unique feeling for harmonics with some new and fresh hard influences.
It’s now been almost 10 years since Human blue had his first release and after that he’s been busy both touring around the globe and he’s also been producing lots of tracks. His last album is the fifth in order and a sixth album is already planned to be released during late spring 2007. Human blue has also been licensed to no less then 80 (!) compilations and he’s also produced a number of 12” back in the good old vinyl days. His most famous tracks are: Carpe diem, Intercity, Breaking limits, Rollercoaster, Virtual turnaround, Galactic fire and the big success Terpsichore.
Dag’s musical career started in early years. In fact, he was only five years old when he tired his first chords on the piano. He kept on playing the piano for lots of years to come and as an early teenager he also got a genuine interest for electronic instruments such as synthesizers etc. In the late eighties he produced his first real music and just a few years later he, occasionally fell for the trance scene and that’s when Human blue was first born. Dag’s first release was in 1997 on the old, famous, Swedish label Spiral trax. After that, he’s been released on various labels from all over the world.
As already mentioned, Human blue has toured around the world and done his liveacts at many big and small events, ranging from clubs to big festivals such as Voov experience, The arvika festival, Atmosphere, Nomansland etc. Countries that Dag has payed a visit are, among others, Japan, Russia, Israel, USA, Brasil and most of the capital cities in Europé.

Matteo has been making music for more then 10 years now, starting with an electrojazz background (Matteo played sax, Jacopo keyboard) and then moving towards trance around 1998. As Loopus In Fabula, he released tracks on various labels from all over the world: Digital Psionics (AUS), Surreal Audio (FIN), ZMA (GRE), Flow (POR), Exogenic (FIN), Resonoise (UK), Devic Craft (GRE), Candyflip (GRE) and the first album "LOOPUS IN FABULA" was released by the Australian label, Demon Tea Records (2002). The second album (2003) “ASTROFUNK” is released on Loopus’ own label "FABULA RECORDS".
In 2004 DJ Loopus has selected for Fabula Records, together with DJ Styx, the compilation "ULTRAPOP" where he exposed his music and DJing philosophy putting together a collection of works from artists all around the globe who are looking for something "different" in the broad psytrance genre... The compilation includes works from Antiscarp Warriors, Kiwa, the Polish crew of Bigwigs, Eatstatic, Sienis as well as new Loopus In Fabula.
The third album "FAT LADIES BINGO" (2006) is the result of the work of Matteo together with his previous partner Jacopo as well as in solo version or in collaboration with artists from Australia and Finland. A new compilation is ready it will be called probably "ULTRAPOP 2" and as the name suggests it will continue the funky philosophy established with the first one... It will include works of Kiwa, LPC (Salakavala + Squaremeat), Talpa, Atma, Itayko (Itay from Kukan Dub Lugan) as well as Loopus...
Loopus has established himself a reputation for the so called "funkedelic" sound: a mixture of psytrance and funky disco sounds... There's actually more (or less), a total free crossover of influences with an electro, progressive, jazzy, circus feeling blended with the severe discipline of psytrance: a mind twisting psychedelia with a running full bassline...
Loopus has played almost until now in almost every corner of the psytrance world (included Italy, Switzerland, UK, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Israel, Russia, Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Ukraine, Tatarstan(!!), China, Mexico, Japan, Turkey, Australia, USA, Canada) and has developed a blended live + DJ set featuring a special task: slowly bringing the dancefloor into a relaxed, happy, funky atmosphere full of laughs and funny smiles... for this reason his set works best in early nights or sunny morning at outdoors or anytime in the kinky clubs....

Ajja & Gaspard, two musicians, two sets of creative energy, influenced by each other & fusing in a whole that is greater then the sum of its parts. Gaspard has been DJing and organizing parties for 9 years. He started as DJ Throbbe and played with Psyberpunk Corp. Today, he is DJ Gaspard for his night-time psychedelic trance sets and DJ Equilibrium for his floating ambient mixes. Ajja has been a musician all his life. Growing up in the world-famous tattooing Leu family and travelling across the world has given him a strong creative drive. Although he lived in Goa when trance was coalescing, the jadedness of the scene turned him away from electronic music for many years. He accumulating a major body of original non-trance material as a by-product. In 1998 Gaspard came in for a tattoo in Ajjas shop and they became fast friends. During the next few years Gaspard helped refuel Ajjas love of trance by dragging him out to psychedelic parties across Switzerland. Their first performance together, at the Psyberpunk Naturalp Festival in November 2002, consisted of Gaspards DJ set, live percussion & live fx by Ajja. Later that year, they toured Australian festivals - Outback Eclipse, Rainbow Serpent & Exodus.
In the summer of 2003, Gaspard and Ajja in collaboration with visual artist Tanina Munchkina & musician Master Margherita created Peak Records - Switzerland's first psy-trance label! Performing together with the P.G.C (an organic-trance live-act of which Ajja is a founding member) through the summer of 2004, revealed high compatibility between Gaspard & Ajja ranging from very similar tastes in music to humour, partying & psychedelic philosophy. The next logical step was the formation of their own live act: Yab Yum. So Logic was bought, laptops were tuned up & they got down to business: Ajja bringing his knowledge of instruments and frequencies and Gaspard, a strong sense of dance-floor dynamics from his experience as a DJ & sound engineer. This combination has produced many strong, psychedelic, dance oriented tracks, that have been greatly appreciated by trancers everywhere. Yab Yum have been released on respected labels worldwide & have released their debut album "Nocturnal Emissions" on Peak Records in December 2006.

Phutureprimitive is the musical creation of DJ, Producer and Remixer Rain. Rain first began DJing in 1992 after discovering the new sound of Trance and Chillout in the underground music scene. He later played a key role in bringing the sound of Trance to the Northwest in the early years of rave, a time when house and techno were the standard. While adding to his music collection, Rain also began to acquire the music equipment that would eventually become Phutureprimitive Sound Labs, founded in 1996. Intent on building the skills required to express himself musically, he made the decision to keep his work private, until his debut album on Waveform Records titled Sub Conscious finally escaped from the studio in 2004.
Phutureprimitive has since become a top artist in the downtempo/psy-chill/phuture-dub music scene, performing in cities and countries throughout the United States, and Europe including New York, Los Angeles, England, Scotland, Portugal, Holland, Italy and Croatia. In the past two years Phutureprimitive has shared the state with many other Downtempo acts including: Ott, Bluetech, Shpongle, Shulman, Pitch Black, Youth, Tripswitch, Gaudi, Kaya Project, Shakatura, Slack Baba, Organismic, Nagual Sound Experiment, Rena Jones, Ishq, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Mirror System, Tom Fu, Giani, Nova, and many others.
As a result of relationships that have blossomed with numerous labels and artists around the globe, we shall be hearing more original works, collaborations and remix projects in the near phuture.
Rain also has a new Psytrance project titled Shapeshifter which will be surfacing soon on Liquid Records, so keep your ears open.
What is Phutureprimitive? The fusion of organic and synthetic elements. There are many components to the Phutureprimitive sound which can be described as diverse and eclectic. Musically ranging from atmospheric downbeat and Drum n Bass patterns, to ethnic breaks, vocals and percussions, to dub and beyond. The ability to place the listener in a different environment: To give them a sense of atmosphere and surrounding. Creating a landscape of aural texture is a key element to our music.
Time signature: 4/4 is so common, sometimes it’s fun to change things up. “In some ways, I feel an odd time signature (anything other than 4/4) engages the listener to pay closer attention; to follow the rhythm more carefully and figure out why bobbing your head doesn’t always put you on the “one” every four beats.”

LEILA DJ

She'd been a vinyl junkie from the age of ten, searching second hand stalls and picking up all kinds of records from the likes of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Velvet Underground and Bob Marley and later on to Punk classics such as the Sex Pistols, The Buzzcocks, Blondie and the Clash.
This music provided the soundtrack to a life less ordinary!
Living on the road in an old Bedford ambulance with her black and white rabbit LD50, kept Leila close to another great passion, the countryside of England and Wales and to conservation work with the Wildlife Trust. At the same time it took her to many festivals and the birth of outdoor underground parties, where she felt a powerful evolution taking place.
In astrological circles, the age of twenty eight is said to hail the start of a transformative time, when Saturn returns to the position it was at birth, triggering major life changing events. For Leila this came complete with a celestial intervention during a trip to India, when a total solar eclipse accompanied by full on psychedelic trance party, fell slap bang on her twenty eighth birthday.
Goa beckoned, and life was never quite the same again…
On her return from that dance-floor epiphany in the Rajasthani desert, Leila began to seek out this new sound, to spin records she had heard on her own Technics decks. She wanted to explore the depth of sound she'd discovered while getting deep down and dirty in the Indian dust.
A love for the free party scene and UK gigs kept Leila busy but her desire to play further afield took her first to Mexico, to the awesome pyramids of Palenque. Then came a great opportunity to play for Dragonfly before she jetted to Zambia for the Solipse festival. Whilst there, an invite to gig in Brasil took Leila to Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, inland to Pireanapolis and out to the beautiful beaches of Bahia. It is easy to understand her appetite for just one more psychedelic party as she played at Freakadelic in Sao Paulo, hours before her flight back to London!
Leila has played at festivals across Europe including twice at Samothraki. Her tunes are plucked from a spectrum of psychedelia, never too progressive or minimalist. She doesn't come in banging but seduces with her insistent grooves, funky basslines and multilayered melodies, often harbouring a hard-edged, springloaded bite. She may be a waif but this little lady sure packs a punch.

M-FIELD vs. D-SPACE

Through sounds, and the geometry they form while being woven through each other, the D-Space project began in the year 2000 with Jay (M-Field, Alpha Channel, Indigom) and Steve Equisol (D-Space). They set out to make a unique and relevant sound to add to the Trance Dance and Community. Through this journey of evolving sounds, D-Space has learned a focus on the progressive nature of the music, and the importance of rhythms that keep the body moving, while maintaining and encouraging the trance inducing elements. Mind-manifesting webs of sound to imply the Sacred geometry that connects us to the universe. The achievement of this in its pure sense is understandably impossible. But, it is the process that opens the mind, and readies ones-self to deconstruct the limits that prevent a purified perception.
In this special live set made especially for the festival, Jay and Steve will take their deep funky tranceforming tracks from both the new PsyBooty Records "M-Field" album live set and morph it with the "D-Space" funky progressive sound to help continue and bring on the daytime trance grooves in the Stone Circle.
"M-Field" is the project of two like minded individuals from different coasts of the USA, Rob (Rob-ot, San Francisco/Phoenix Family/PsyBooty Records), and Jay (mentioned earlier). Their first full-length artist album was released on PsyBooty Records in January 2007.
The name "M-Field" was chosen by project member Rob as it is a concept from one of his favorite thinkers, Rupert Sheldrake. Sheldrake is an evolutionary biologist who posited that all things in Nature possess Morphogenic fields, which contain within them all the information for patterning, species instinct and behavior, and evolution. These fields convey information through morphic resonant energies to each other, concordantly, each individual fundamentally draws from and contributes to a collective species memory. Rob and Jay feel that the M-fields of Nature and the "greater mind" have influenced them, and seek through the medium of music to pass that knowledge forward and enrich the lives of those who choose to tune themselves in. Sheldrake's "M-Field" theory encompasses the intent behind the creation of music for both Jay and Rob: to create a new paradigm for progressive psy trance, to boldly go where others have not gone before, to be original, uplifting and inspiring, and of course musical.

The Primordial Ooze project was created by DJ's Kaiser Soze and S.O.T. It is an experiment of genetic sound programming. Evolving algorithms that flourish in the environment of artificial selection. In such a setting, sounds behave like life forms - bundles of frequencies that collaborate in swarm like manner, creating intelligent patterns and movement. Currently working on two albums this energetic live act is continuously expanding their farm of pet-frequencies with various sonic creatures. Gaian Mind's Japan correspondent returns to check in with the home base and unleash a wealth of fresh sounds coming from Japan's underground to the Stone Circle. In Tokyo, Eitan helps create the legendary Brain Busters parties in Tokyo, which have rapidly become Japan's most "killlaaa" underground psychedelic parties, as well as writing tracks and playing all over Japan. Eitan has been bringing some Gaian Mind energy to the Japanese party people. Now he will bring some of that Japanese spirit back to Gaian Mind.

Solomoon’s world was completely transformed in 1993 when he fatefully discovered the global movement of Goa-trance.
